George Toriello sent me this researched information on Milton Foster Clark on Milton Foster Clark was born on December 1, 1924 in New York City and according to the 1930 Census, he was living at the age of six who was living at 222, 114th Street, Manhattan, New York. According to draft records, Milton Foster Clark, while living in Hackensack and working at Sears Roebuck + Company in Hackensack, registered for the draft on December 29, 1942 at the earliest age of 18. Milton Foster Clark then decided to enlist into the service on May 4 1943. He became a private First Class with the 39th Infantry Regiment known as the ‘Fighting Falcons’ with the 9th Infantry Division. Milton Foster Clark on August 11, 1944 was Killed in Action in Saint Lo France, one of the bloodiest battles in Europe during World War II. Milton Foster Clark was buried in Saint-Lo, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France but was repatriated after the war to Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA.
